WORKING STUDENT SOFTWARE TEST ENGINEER (M/F/D)
Your Responsibilities
As a working student in our Test & Support team, you will conduct manual product tests based on predefined test plans. You will create new test cases and maintain existing cases and test plans. Documenting the setup of test environments and the requirements for tests will also be part of your responsibilities. With the appropriate expertise, you may also contribute to the further development of existing test automation processes.
Other aspects of your role include:
- Preparing test environments (Windows, possibly Linux and macOS)
- Creating bug-fix tickets in our Jira system
- After appropriate training: Possibly handling 2nd-level support tickets
Your Profile
You are currently pursuing a degree in IT Security, Computer Science, Business Informatics, Mathematics, or a comparable field of study. Ideally, you already have some initial experience in testing or programming. Additionally, you possess knowledge in several of the following areas:
- Basic knowledge of Java/C++
- Initial experience with test automation
- Strong familiarity with Windows OS, Linux, or macOS
- Basic knowledge in the area of Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
- Theoretical or practical know-how in setting up operating systems (Windows, Linux, macOS)
- Initial exposure to encryption technologies (S/MIME or PGP)
- Familiarity with bug trackers (Jira), Jenkins, and virtualization environments
You work in a structured and solution-oriented manner. You pursue your goals with motivation and focus. Your creativity helps you consistently find optimal solutions in complex and technically challenging environments.
