EMBEDDED SOFTWARE ENGINEER FÜR UNSERE PRODUKTLINIE SECURITY TOKEN & HARDWARE (TESTTOOLING) (M/W/D)

Your role

As an Embedded Software Engineer with a focus on test tooling, you will be responsible for the further development of the company’s own products. Together with the team, you will develop architecture proposals, document these with the help of suitable tools and ensure that they are implemented on schedule in accordance with the development specifications. The high security requirements of our product always determine your thoughts and actions.

Other aspects of your work include

  • Further development of the team’s internal test environment
  • Testing and test automation of partially certified products
  • bug fixing

Your profile

You have experience in modern embedded development and ideally practical experience in programming with Java. A (technical) apprenticeship or a degree in (e.g.) computer science, business informatics, mathematics would be an advantage, but is not required. In addition, some of the following points round off your profile:

  • Knowledge of test automation with JUnit or other frameworks
  • Experience in the area of continuous integration, for example Jenkins, and in configuration management
  • Experience in working with Git, Ant and Gradle
  • Knowledge of international smart card standards (e.g. ISO 7816, GlobalPlatform)
  • Knowledge of public key infrastructures (PKI) and encryption, IT security and digital identity solutions, digital signatures, secure e-mail, eIDAS regulation, electronic ID cards or electronic passports according to ICAO
  • Experience with cryptography libraries, such as BouncyCastle
  • Knowledge of the Common Criteria evaluation processes (CC evaluation)
  • Willingness to familiarize yourself with complex systems and legacy code

You are a team player with strong communication skills who is confident in giving presentations in German or English.
